Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
The short version
AwardScope is a search and matching service for public-sector contracting and grant opportunities. When you use it, you agree to these terms. We wrote them in plain language on purpose: be honest with us, pay for what you use, verify opportunities against the official government posting before you act, and do not abuse the service. If you have questions, email hello@awardscope.ai and a human will answer.
Your account
You need an account to use AwardScope. Keep your login credentials secure: you are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your billing contact current. Accounts belong to the organization that created them, and each plan includes a set number of user seats. Sharing one seat among several people is not allowed.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
Trials, payment, and plan changes
New organizations start a 14-day free trial of our Professional plan. A payment card is required to activate the trial; your first charge occurs when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. If you cancel or a payment fails, your data is preserved but access is paused until billing resumes.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, our payment processor. You can cancel any time from the billing portal in Settings, without calling anyone. If we change prices for a plan you are on, we will give you at least 30 days notice before the new price applies to you.
Cancellation and termination
You can cancel any time from the billing portal in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not charge you again after that. You can ask us to delete your organization data by emailing hello@awardscope.ai; see the Privacy Policy for how deletion works.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create risk or legal exposure for us. If we do that for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused portion of what you prepaid.
Opportunity data: verify before you rely on it
AwardScope aggregates opportunity listings from public government sources such as SAM.gov, Grants.gov, state procurement portals, and local agency sites. Those sources change constantly, publish errors of their own, and sometimes go offline. We work hard to keep the data fresh and correct, but we make no warranty that any listing is accurate, complete, or current, and we do not promise that the service covers every posting in government.
The official government posting is always the source of truth. Every listing in AwardScope links to it. Before you spend money or submit a bid, verify deadlines, requirements, and eligibility against the official source.
AwardScope is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency.
AI features
Some features, such as fit scores, summaries, and extracted deadlines or eligibility details, are generated by artificial intelligence. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, even when it sounds confident. These features exist to help you prioritize, not to decide for you. They are not legal, financial, or professional advice, and decisions about whether and how to pursue an opportunity are yours.
Acceptable use
When using AwardScope, you agree not to:
- resell, redistribute, or republish our data feed or AI output as your own service;
- scrape the service or access it with automated tools outside features we provide;
- share seats, circumvent plan limits, or probe or disrupt our infrastructure;
- use the service to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.
Using AwardScope for normal business purposes, including exporting your own matches for internal use, is exactly what it is for and always fine.
Your content and ours
Your company profile, keywords, notes, and pipeline data belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them solely to operate the service, including sending relevant text to our AI provider to generate scores and summaries for you.
The AwardScope software, design, and brand belong to us. Public government notices remain public; we claim no ownership over them.
Warranty disclaimer and liability
We provide the service as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AwardScope will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or missed bids, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Changes to the service and these terms
We are a small product that ships often, so features will change and occasionally be retired. If we make a material change to these terms, we will notify account owners by email or an in-app notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
